Tropical Smoothie Cafe is set to expand its footprint in the Spring Brand area of Comal County with a new location planned at 20409 State Hwy 46 W, Suite 108. Farhan Hyder confirmed to WhatNow San Antonio that they were indeed the franchise owners of the upcoming location.

This fast-casual chain is known for its smoothies, wraps, sandwiches, and bowls, with a menu focused on fresh ingredients and customizable, health-conscious options. Founded in 1997, the brand has grown into a nationwide franchise system with hundreds of locations across the United States.

According to the project details, the 1,382-square-foot space will undergo a first-time tenant improvement buildout, including new interior partitions, finishes, fixtures, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing distribution.

The renovation project is estimated at $175,000 and is being privately funded on private property for private use.

Construction is expected to begin on May 15, 2026, with completion anticipated by September 1, 2026. The project has been marked as “Review Complete,” signaling it is moving forward toward the construction phase.

The upcoming Spring Branch location will add to the brand’s continued expansion across Texas, where Tropical Smoothie Cafe has been steadily increasing its presence in both suburban and high-growth residential areas.

WhatNow San Antonio reached out to the franchise owner, Hyder, for additional comments regarding the upcoming Spring Branch location, but had not received a response by the time of publication.
