Known for maintaining a low media profile and a massive menu, Cook Out is a North Carolina burger chain preparing to open its first Louisiana location in Baton Rouge. According to reports and public records, a Louisiana corporation affiliated with Cook Out purchased a property at 755 W Lee Dr. in the capital city. A building on the property was erected in anticipation of a Starbucks being installed there. However, the Seattle coffee chain never opened a store. It appears Cook Out is set to open in the new build. An opening date has not been announced, and What Now New Orleans has reached out for more information.

Known for char-grilled hamburgers, dozens of milkshake flavors, and late-night hours, Cook Out currently has more than 360 locations across the South. While Cook Out has several locations in Mississippi and is planning a new location on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, it currently does not have any Louisiana locations.
