Nantucket’s Meat & Fish Market is set to expand into the Charleston area.

Rooted in tradition, the Ready family-owned shop will open at 616 Coleman Blvd. in Mount Pleasant.

“We’re excited to bring our signature mix of prime meats, fresh seafood, prepared foods and thoughtfully sourced provisions to town,” an Instagram post read.

The shop will offer a wide selection of meats and seafood, including prime cuts of beef such as ribeye and filet mignon, along with lamb, pork, chicken, house steak tips, burgers and sausages. Seafood options will include fresh local fish, Atlantic cod, tuna, salmon, halibut, Chilean sea bass, shrimp skewers, crab cakes and oysters, along with marinated selections ready for the grill.

The space will also feature a wood-fired pizza oven and wine bar, available for lunch, dinner or while shopping.

Meat & Fish launched in Vermont in 2007 and expanded to Martha’s Vineyard in 2011. It now operates additional locations in Nantucket and Hilton Head. The Charleston location will join its growing portfolio.

An official opening date has not yet been announced, but the company is currently hiring for leadership, kitchen, butcher, grocery, pizza and cashier positions.
