Whether you are young or old, Five Iron Golf will help you get your swing on – as they prepare to open a new location in Louisiana.

The new location will be at 609 Ryan St Lake Charles, formerly known as the Blue Dog Café. The place will have a full restaurant and bar with one upstairs and downstairs, 10 golf simulators, and virtual sports and games inside.

Five Iron Golf owner and operations manager Michael Boyer told WhatNow Media it will be a space for all ages to enjoy great food, drinks, golf simulators, lessons, and events. “It will be a one-of-a-kind atmosphere unlike anything else in Southwest Louisiana,” he said.

When questioned about the specific location, he said it is because it’s a historic area. “It’s the first one in the South. This project means a lot to us because we are not just renovating a building. We are trying to create something that becomes part of the future of Downtown Lake Charles while respecting its history.

He added that whether you just want to hang out, host a corporate event, or have a date night, it’s a space for everybody. “It’s not just about golf; there will be baseball, football, and dodgeball,” he said.

The expected opening date is late November, as Boyer said they are aiming to open before Christmas.
