A new pizza food truck is in the works in the Orlando area. According to paperwork submitted by Basil Pizza Napoletana LLC, Basil Pizza Napoletana will make its home at Orlando Caterers and Commissary, from which it will launch operations.
“Coming soon to [the] Orlando area. Pizza Napoletana,” says an Instagram post published by Basil Pizza Napoletana on Instagram.
What Now reached out on Friday to owner Marian Rojas to ask about plans for Basil’s launch. What areas will the food truck serve? What pizza varieties can we expect from the food truck? For now, we’ll have to wait and see.
Originating in Naples, of course, Neapolitan pizza is known for its round pies with high edges. In the European Union and the United Kingdom, it’s a “traditional speciality guaranteed product,” and “the art of making it (arte del pizzaiolo napoletano) is included on UNESCO’s list of intangible cultural heritage.”
