“The crossroads of Tamiami Trail and Beneva Road — which turns into Vamo Road on the west side of the trail — is in the midst of transformation into a hub where residents can pick from as many as four major purveyors of groceries,” says coverage published recently by the Sarasota Herald-Tribune.
Among these is a new outpost of Trader Joe’s, the beloved California-born grocery store. Trader Joe’s has confirmed that it is planning a new store at 8199 S Tamiami Trail.
With stores around the country, Trader Joe’s offers the full range of grocery products, from staples to frozen foods, to canned goods, to prepared foods.
“Our buyers travel the world searching for products we think are exceptional and will find a following among our customers,” says the Trader Joe’s website. “To earn a spot on our shelves, each product is submitted to a rigorous tasting panel process, in which every aspect of quality is investigated in context of the price we can offer. If a product is assessed as an outstanding value, it becomes an essential part of the Trader Joe’s shopping adventure.”
And the company is growing fast: according to coverage by Tampa Bay Business & Wealth, “the Sarasota store was among nine additions to the company’s ‘opening soon’ pipeline…”
Opening in the South Tamiami Trail location, in the retail center on the northwest corner of the South Beneva Road intersection, Trader Joe’s will also join retailers like Hobby Lobby and Dollar Tree.
