A new tattoo parlor is preparing to make its mark on Memphis. Under Your Skin Ink has filed papers to open a body art studio on Macon Road.

The establishment has a certificate of occupancy under review with the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development as of June 1. The paperwork shows that the  6170 Macon Road space will span 270 square feet and will have an occupant load of 3.

Under Your Skin Ink is described on the submitted form as “Tattoo studio providing body art services within an existing commercial salon suit”.

An opening timeline is not presently available for the tattoo parlor, however indicators on the application suggest that once the certificate of occupancy is issued, things should move relatively swiftly. Under Your Skin Ink’s project description states it will be “located within an existing commercial salon suite. No construction, renovation, or change to building systems is proposed. Health Department approval has been obtained. Occupancy requested for tattoo services within existing tenant space.”
