Memphis residents, grab your wine keys and tumblers; a new liquor store is coming to the area to satiate your vino needs and help you perfect your mixology technique. Cork & Barrel Wine and Spirits has set its sights on a Poplar Avenue storefront and has filed the papers needed to move into the space.

The concept will be bringing its wares to 2858 Poplar Avenue. A certificate of occupancy presently under review with the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development shows that Cork & Barrel Wine and Spirits will have a dedicated 6,000 square feet.

While this particular Cork & Barrel Wine and Spirits store does not presently have a digital footprint detailing its nature, the concept seems to be relatively straightforward. It is described on the paperwork as simply a “retail wine and spirits shop”, suggesting it will be a one-stop shop for all an amateur bartender’s needs.

An opening timeline is not yet available for the storefront; What Now Memphis will update readers as details emerge.
