An exciting and varied new concept may be headed to Memphis in the near future. Registered as “HookHer LLC”, a new smoke shop attached, unexpectedly, to a tax office is hoping to make its home on Broad Avenue.

The concept has submitted a zoning letter to the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development for 2535 Broad Avenue. The form paints a picture of a distinctive and unique business, saying: “The location has an open floor plan at the front of the building, which I plan to use as a smoke shop. The back features two office spaces that I’ll utilize for my tax office. The smoke shop and tax office are separated by commercial-sized French doors and three steps. The smoke shop will offer a small selection of tobacco products and serve as a cozy spot for customers and tax clients to enjoy hookah, coffee, and muffins while they wait. Amenities will include a commercial-grade massage chair, Wi-Fi, and printing services to meet business meeting needs.”

Applicant Alisha Park has an impressive entrepreneurial pedigree; in addition to her tax business, she has launched KJ’s Beauty, a brand dedicated to squishy and sensory toys. Her business acumen is certain to turn this next endeavor into a Memphis success story.
