A powerful presence in the holistic well-being scene is preparing to further heal Memphis. Dr Sebi’s Niece Natural Healing Herbs has filed papers to open a new storefront, giving it the opportunity to spread its herbal remedies to a wider audience.

The store, owned and operated by Emily Eden, is planning to set up shop at 4271 Elvis Presley Boulevard. Dr Sebi’s Niece Natural Healing Herbs currently has a certificate of occupancy under review with the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development for the location, which will span 7,006 square feet.

As the shop name suggests, Emily Eden is, indeed, the niece of Alfredo Darrington Bowman, also known as Dr. Sebi. Emily has worked hard to continue the work and legacy of the celebrated herbalist, learning and perfecting his techniques. Eden is compelled by a calling; the company website explains:  “Emily Eden brought forth a mission to care for all of humanity lovingly and share the good news of herbal healing. Through Dr. Sebi’s niece, the legacy of natural healing herbs was relayed to future generations.”

An opening timeline is not presently publicly available for Dr Sebi’s Niece Natural Healing Herbs’ Elvis Presley Boulevard location. What Now Memphis has reached out to ownership for further details and will update readers as information becomes available.
