Memphis wheels appear to be getting a new home for veteran tires. A shop called Pops Tires and Mechanics has been issued a certificate of occupancy for a new location.

The Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development issued Pops Tires its certificate of occupancy for 2157 S Third Street on August 10. The paperwork filed for the 1,500 square foot shop suggests that Pops Tires will be a simple and straightforward operation. It is described simply as a used tire retail shop.

The registered business owner for Pops Tires and Mechanics is listed as Saed Hejaz who previously launched S&K Tires Inc, suggesting that Memphis is in the capable hands of someone who knows their way around a tire.

It is unclear when, precisely, the shop will be open. Pops Tires and Mechanics does not yet have a digital footprint. What Now Memphis has reached out to ownership for more information and will update readers as details become available.
