A growing franchise has plans to further the spread of nutritious fast-casual dining throughout the DMV region. Fresh Healthy Cafe has applied for a special use permit in Alexandria, giving it another opportunity to provide diners with a tasty and health-conscious alternative, reports local media outlet ALXNow.
Fresh Healthy Cafe is hoping to set up shop at 2040 Jamieson Avenue, a space that previously housed a Starbucks. The submitted application offers a relatively comprehensive picture of what the restaurant has in store for future customers; the eatery will span 1,104 square feet and will feature both indoor and outdoor seating. Fresh Healthy Cafe’s interior will be able to accommodate up to 12 customers, while the 48 square foot al fresco dining area will have space for another 4 visitors.
Fresh Healthy Cafe will be open from 7 am to 7 pm, 7 days a week. The restaurant will be serving delicious, good-for-you options during these periods; the special use permit even provides a peek at the menu in store for future regulars, describing it as a “cafe serving smoothies, paninis, fresh juices, bowls, coffee, and others.”
An opening timeline is not presently available for Fresh Healthy Cafe’s Alexandria location; however as the concept is still awaiting approval for its permit, it is likely that locals will need to exercise some patience.
Fresh Healthy Cafe is committed to providing nutritious options to its visitors. Its website explains its motivation and ethos, saying: “Since day one at Fresh, we’ve been sourcing and serving the freshest, highest-quality ingredients we can get our hands on.
