The new high-intensity Pilates-style training studio, Solidcore, is preparing to open a new studio in Costa Mesa, with a location set for 369 E. 17th St #29 and a planned opening this summer.
The Washington, D.C. fitness brand became known for its high-intensity, low-impact training method performed on custom resistance machines, focusing on slow, controlled movements designed to create full-body muscle fatigue.
Solidcore’s workout method is centered on building strength while minimizing strain on the body. Through slow, controlled movements performed on custom resistance machines, [solidcore] aims to increase muscle mass without placing excessive stress on the spine or joints. The high-intensity, low-impact workouts are also designed to trigger excess post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC), commonly known as the “afterburn” effect, allowing the body to continue burning calories for up to 24 hours after class as muscles recover and rebuild.
The upcoming opening will introduce the brand’s signature Megaformer-based classes to the 17th Street area. Classes follow a structured instructor-led format emphasizing strength, endurance, and precise movement control in a dimly lit studio environment designed to enhance focus and intensity.
Another Orange County location is also in the pipeline. The company plans to debut a second studio in Laguna Niguel at 23866 Aliso Creek Road, further expanding its presence in the region
