A new cocktail bar from the owners of Ace of Cups is set to debut near Italian Village next month.

According to Columbus Business First, Conor Stratton, who acquired Ace of Cups alongside partners in 2021, is opening Let Me Roll It at 132 E 5th Ave, Columbus, OH 43201. in Weinland Park.

The concept is being developed with partner Sarah Fleming and aims to blend the laid-back feel of a neighbourhood dive bar with a thoughtfully crafted cocktail programme.

Stratton told the publication mentioned above that the goal is to create an affordable and approachable space where guests can enjoy quality drinks without the high prices often associated with cocktail bars. The menu will focus on classic cocktails with the bar’s own twist, with most drinks expected to remain under $12.

The bar will also offer canned and bottled beers, featuring a mix of classic brands and local selections, alongside a wine list.

Designed with a 1970s-inspired aesthetic, Let Me Roll It will emphasise analogue music, with records and cassettes providing the soundtrack. Customers will even be encouraged to contribute vinyl records and cassettes to the bar’s growing collection.

The venue will not feature televisions, with Stratton saying the focus is on fostering genuine connections and community.

An official opening date has not yet been announced, but Let Me Roll It is expected to welcome its first guests next month.
