Lemongrass Asian Bistro is set to close its doors after 28 years of operation. The restaurant will serve its final meal on June 28 and plans to host farewell events through the weekend of closure. The team also plans to launch a new nightlife concept, Penthouse: Social Club.
Lemongrass Asian Bistro Announces Final Weekend of Service
Located at 641 N High St, Columbus, OH 43215, United States, Lemongrass Asian Bistro was founded in 1998 by Pete Vitt. The restaurant is known for serving Asian fusion staples in a lively atmosphere. The announcement was shared in an Instagram post.
The team shared that after 28 wonderful years, Lemongrass will say goodbye to its diners on Sunday, June 28. “To every guest who walked through our doors in 1998 or 2026, thank you. Your loyalty, laughter, and memories have made this journey unforgettable,” the team wrote.
The farewell events began Thursday and continue through Sunday.
On Friday, June 26, the restaurant will host a Tiyah’s Final Hibachi Friday, and on Saturday, June 27, ‘One Last Night’ is planned. For its final day celebration, the restaurant is hosting the Last Call R&B Day Party.
Owners Plan New Nightlife Concept
Along with the closure announcement, the Lemongrass team also shared the news of its upcoming club launch. A new addition, Penthouse: Social Club, will be arriving soon, according to the post.
“We’re intentionally building toward a full-scale restaurant and an upscale, full-service nightclub experience—crafted with intention, designed for unforgettable nights, and built for the future,” added the team.
The owners said current employees will transition to the new concept. In the post, the team invites its guests to visit before its final call.
