Fast-casual chicken brand Birdcall is accelerating its national growth by expanding into the Midwest, where it aims to add nearly 100 restaurants across six states over the next five years, according to QSR.
The Colorado-based company is targeting Indiana, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, and Wisconsin as part of its franchise growth strategy, bringing its made-to-order chicken sandwiches, tech-forward ordering system, and modern dining experience to new markets.
According to CEO Mark Lohmann, the Midwest presents a strong opportunity for the brand as it continues scaling its footprint. Birdcall plans to focus on major cities, including Cleveland, Cincinnati, Columbus, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Milwaukee, and Omaha, with individual state development ranging from 5 to 30 locations each.
Each restaurant will average approximately 2,300 square feet and feature indoor and outdoor seating, self-order kiosks, and a design centred around a fast, casual guest experience. The brand is also exploring non-traditional locations such as airports, universities, hospitals, and entertainment venues.
Birdcall currently operates 17 locations across Colorado, Arizona, and Texas, with nearly 20 additional restaurants already in development as part of its broader national franchise push.
