Rebol is preparing to expand its Central Ohio footprint with a new location planned for the former Hot Chicken Takeover space in Westerville.
According to Columbus Business First, the fast-casual bowl concept will move into 935 Polaris Pkwy., Westerville, OH 43082, taking over a site previously occupied by Hot Chicken Takeover before the chain closed the location last fall.
The announcement was shared on social media by Rebol, one of the restaurant brands operated by Cleveland-based Ethos Hospitality Group. An opening date for the new location has not yet been announced.
Rebol currently operates two locations: one in Cleveland’s Public Square and another at Bridge Park in Dublin, which opened in 2018. The concept is known for its menu of bowls, salads, wraps, and other offerings built around non-GMO and dietary-friendly ingredients.
The Westerville restaurant will mark the latest redevelopment of a former Hot Chicken Takeover location. Several of the chain’s shuttered restaurants have already found new tenants, including Fox in the Snow in Clintonville, Biscuit Belly near Grandview Heights, and DHC Chicken in Gahanna.
Ethos Hospitality Group also operates TownHall and Mandrake in Columbus’ Short North neighborhood.
Two former Hot Chicken Takeover locations remain without permanent tenants, including the former Easton Gateway restaurant and the former North Market Downtown space.
What Now Columbus reached out to Ethos Hospitality Group for comment, but did not receive a response at the time of publication. This article will be updated when more information becomes available.
