Harvest Pizzeria is expanding its footprint in Central Ohio with a new location planned for downtown Hilliard, according to Columbus Business First.
The popular pizza concept will take over the space at 3987 Main St, Hilliard, OH 43026, a historic property that most recently housed Legacy Smokehouse, which closed last month after operating for nine years.
Owned by developer Andy Warnock and his wife, Ashley, the building has a long history in the community. Originally a residence, it later became home to Bookphil, a rare bookstore that operated there for 45 years.
In an email seen by the publication mentioned above, Warnock said he is thrilled to welcome Chris Crader and the Harvest team to Hilliard. He noted that the strong support expressed by residents on social media highlights the community’s excitement and said the addition of Harvest Pizzeria will help elevate the restaurant scene in downtown Hilliard.
Harvest Pizzeria also shared the news on social media.
“We have been looking forward to this,” the company posted. “We are proud to bring Harvest to a community that values the same things we do: real ingredients, local relationships and food worth gathering around.”
Owner Chris Crader has not yet shared additional details about the project.
The Hilliard restaurant will mark the sixth location for Harvest Pizzeria, which has built a loyal following for its wood-fired pizzas made with locally sourced ingredients, alongside a beverage programme featuring craft beer, wine and cocktails.
The brand first launched in German Village in 2011 and has since expanded to Clintonville, Dublin, Bexley and Granville. Harvest also operates Station, a bakery-café in Granville.
An opening timeline for the Hilliard location has not yet been announced.
