An upcoming new arrival at the Dulles International Airport is about to make getting to the airport early a lot more fun. Construction officially began last week on Gameway, an arcade concept coming to the transportation mecca according to HBW Construction-the firm erecting it.

Gameway will be bringing recreation and comfort to concourse C of the 1 Saarinen Cir airport. The unique concept will be located across from gate 9 and between gate 8 and an upcoming Honor Brewing location.

Gameway, described as “ the world’s first airport premium video game lounge”, will be particularly embraced by travelers with long layovers. Visitors can look forward to enjoying an array of amenities, including charging ports, plush leather chairs, noise-cancelling headphones, and of course, superior wi-fi.

Gameway customers can play games across a variety of platforms including console, pc, or retro options, opting for 30 minute, 1 hour, or unlimited timeslots. Hungry visitors can also snag some travel-friendly snacks for the road.

Gameway entered the scene in 2018 and now has 12 locations open and operational, with further growth on its mind. Dulles travelers will be able to experience all Gameway has to offer when it opens this fall.
