Fusion Curry Pizza, the beloved Indian pizza spot that has been drawing loyal crowds on NE Sandy Boulevard since 2023, is packing up and moving to a new home at 4831 NE Fremont Street in Portland. Owner Surinder Sahota confirmed to What Now Portland that the new location is a full relocation rather than an expansion, with an opening expected in the coming months.

For anyone who hasn’t made it to the NE Sandy location yet, now is a good time to go before it closes its doors for good. Fusion Curry built its reputation on a concept that sounds simple on paper but hits different in person: Indian-spiced pizzas that blend the comfort of a classic pie with the bold flavors of South Asian cooking. Think tikka masala sauce instead of marinara, paneer instead of mozzarella, and toppings you won’t find at any other pizza shop in town.

The new address is a former pizzeria itself, taking over the space that most recently housed Pizza Nostra, which closed on NE Fremont earlier this year. Something is fitting about a pizza concept moving into another pizza space, especially one as inventive as Fusion Curry.

The NE Fremont corridor, one of Northeast Portland’s most walkable and well-loved neighborhood strips, gives Fusion Curry a fresh audience and a new community to win over. The street has been home to some of Portland’s most enduring neighborhood restaurants, and a concept this original should fit right in.
