Owners of a Howell-based pizza company have not given up on opening their third restaurant.
Coratti’s Pizzeria is working to open in the state capital as their Lansing location is listed on their Instagram page as “coming soon.” Originally, the location was supposed to open in fall 2024 at 321 E Grand River Avenue, but renovations caused various delays. Now, the team is hoping to bring the pizza spot with bocce to the community around the fall this year.
The first Coratti’s was debuted by owner Peter Coratti in 2021 in Howell. Since then, the team opened an Ann Arbor location opened last summer at 512 E Williams Street. This marks their most recent expansion.
Those visiting a Coratti’s have the option for multiple pizza types, including American, Detroit, Neapolitan and Panouzzo’s. If not in the mood for pizza, locations serve burgers, pasta like rigatoni, a New York strip and soup. A bar will also be at the space.
The pizza spot will now (hopefully) open on the north side of Grand River Avenue, next to Otaku’s Classic Anime and Gaming store. This is also close to Tin Can grill, and across from Michigan State University’s main campus.
When contacted, staff at Coratti’s told What Now Detroit the delay in the new restaurant opening is due to the construction timeline being pushed back. The owners have not yet responded for comment.
