Michaels has unveiled the first location in its chain to feature a new store concept, reopening its Easton store at 3670 Easton Market following several months of renovations, according to Columbus Underground.
The redesigned location introduces updated flooring, new graphics, a refreshed checkout layout, and an expanded range of services and programs. The Easton store will serve as a pilot for the new format before it rolls out to six additional Central Ohio locations later this year, including stores near Dublin, Graceland, Grove City, Reynoldsburg, Lewis Center, and Hilliard.
According to the company, the reimagined concept is designed to strengthen Michaels’ connection with local communities while creating a more engaging shopping experience.
In addition to an expanded assortment across departments such as Knit & Sew and The Party Shop, the Easton location now offers enhanced services including same-day printing, custom framing, personalization, classes, balloon services, and birthday parties.
The renovation project began in late March and was completed while the store remained open, with much of the construction taking place overnight.
Founded in 1973, Michaels operates more than 1,300 stores across the United States and Canada. The Easton location has served the Columbus market for more than 15 years.
What Now Columbus reached out to Michaels for comment, but did not receive a response at the time of publication. This article will be updated when more information becomes available.
