The Michigan-based chain is now setting up shop near the mall.
Pita Way is working to open a new location at 4600 S Baldwin Road in Orion Township. This will be their second restaurant in the township, the closest one being in Lake Orion. President of Pita Way Brandon Bahoura said there is no estimated opening date as of yet.
The company operates around 50 locations in Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee and Indiana, with plans for additional expansion in the future. The first Pita Way opened in Clarkston in 2010. Other locations around Southeast Michigan include in Livonia, Warren, Bloomfield Hills, Farmington Hills and Woodhaven. Barboura founded the company in 2010 in Clarkston.
Those visiting the chain have the option to make a bowl or sandweech, a rolled up pita with choice of protein, cheese, fresh toppings and sauces. Their bowls have many of the same options. While their pitas are popular, their menu also offers chips, tenders and fries.
The newest Pita Way is opening near the roundabout at Judah Road. This is across from The Olde Detroit Burger Bar, in a developing area of the township. Great Lakes Crossing mall is just south of the location.
