A new gelato brand looks to be launching soon in Jacksonville, and signs point to not one but two possible openings.

This week, What Now examined plan review documents submitted by Dolce & Gelato Inc. for a restaurant called Dolce & Gelato at 9310 Old Kings Rd S, Suite 1704.

Behind Dolce & Gelato LLC are president Fadi Labad and Vice President Manar Aboud; the LLC was filed in January of this year.

Meanwhile, however, another ice cream shop, called Dolce Gelato (without the ampersand), is preparing to open at 10550 Old St. Augustine Road, Suite 22, part of the Crossroads at Mandarin shopping center. At this address is registered Dolce Gelato 88 Inc., behind which are Labad and Aboud.

“Experience authentic Italian gelato crafted with premium ingredients and rich, unforgettable flavors at Dolce Gelato,” says a description provided to Google Maps for Dolce Gelato on Old St. Augustine Road. “From classic favorites like Pistachio, Stracciatella, and Tiramisu to unique seasonal creations, every scoop is made to deliver a smooth, creamy taste that transports you straight to Italy. Whether you’re looking for a refreshing treat on a hot Jacksonville day or the perfect dessert to share with family and friends, Dolce Gelato offers a handcrafted experience that’s both indulgent and memorable. Proudly serving the Jacksonville community with high-quality gelato, exceptional customer service, and a passion for authentic Italian tradition.”

Stay tuned for more information about Dolce Gelato’s debut (the whens and the wheres!).
