Bagels R Us has permanently closed its Beachwalk location after just one year in business. The locally owned bagel chain announced the closure in a social media post. The company announced the closure on June 30, 2026.
Beachwalk Loses Local Favorite Bagels R Us
Jacksonville-based homegrown bagel chain Bagels R Us was founded in 1998. The chain specializes in New York-style bagels. Its menu features a variety of freshly made bagels. The chain’s bagels are made with kettle-boiled, scratch-made dough prepared overnight. The menu also includes coffee, sandwiches, and other breakfast items.
In an Instagram post, the Bagels R Us team shared that the Beachwalk outpost, located at 145 Beachwalk Shore Dr. Ste. 101 in Saint Johns, FL, has permanently closed.
The team thanked customers for their support, writing, “Thank you for every visit, every coffee run, and every morning you still choose to spend with us.” According to the Jacksonville report, the Beachwalk location began its operations last year.
Customers expressed their disappointment following the closure announcement.

Focus Shifts to Busier Locations
In the announcement, the team said the company is shifting its focus to its higher-performing locations. The team said the move will allow the company to focus on delivering consistent service and maintaining product quality.
While the Beachwalk location has closed, the chain’s other locations remain open. The Bagels R Us team invited customers to visit its other locations to enjoy their favorite bagels.
“All of our other Bagels R Us locations remain open and operating with their regular hours,” said the team. “We look forward to seeing you soon at our other locations.”
