A new Japanese restaurant is preparing to open its doors in Anaheim. Sushi Kani is slated to debut at 1731 W. Katella Ave., Suite F,  in September.  Speaking with WhatNow, James Kim shared that Sushi Kani is designed to be a welcoming, casual destination for Japanese cuisine. The restaurant will take over the former home of Rent-A-Center.

“We will be specializing in a wide variety of fresh sushi, specialty rolls, and high-quality sashimi,” he said.

Unlike many neighborhood sushi restaurants, Sushi Kani will focus on the evening crowd. The restaurant plans to operate daily from 5:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., offering guests a destination for both dinner and late-night dining.

Located on West Katella Avenue, Sushi Kani joins Anaheim’s growing dining scene, bringing a fresh option for sushi lovers seeking quality seafood in a relaxed atmosphere with extended evening hours.
