Craft brewery Ambitious Ales Brewing is expanding into Orange County with a new location at 696 Randolph Ave Ste B, in Costa Mesa. The brewery announced the upcoming outpost on its website, marking its first venture outside of Long Beach.

The new taproom will join the eclectic mix of retailers and eateries at the open-air shopping destination. According to the brewery, the Costa Mesa location is expected to open in fall 2026.

Founded in 2019 in Long Beach’s Bixby Knolls neighborhood, Ambitious Ales is known for its rotating lineup of lagers, IPAs, saisons, and experimental brews. The brewery has also received recognition at the Great American Beer Festival, including a gold medal for its hazy IPA Professional Human Being.

The Costa Mesa location may feature many of the same beers that have made the original brewery a destination for craft beer enthusiasts, along with a welcoming community-focused atmosphere that has become synonymous with the brand. Additional details about the space and opening festivities have yet to be announced.
