A huge name in Southern dining is getting ready to serve up its famous cuisine in a new neighborhood. Jack’s Family Restaurant is deepening its Mississippi presence after receiving approval to open in Flora, reports Clarion Ledger.

Jack’s is slated to open at 130 Edwards Circle. While it is not yet clear when the restaurant will be ready to greet customers, The Mississippi Department of Health has granted it a permit. The Flora location is not yet listed on the Jack’s website, suggesting that while an opening may be imminent, there is still a bit of a wait ahead. What Now Memphis has reached out to leadership and will update readers as details become available.

Jack’s Family Restaurant was founded in 1960 in Alabama and has been a Southern staple ever since. The website explains: “Jack’s serves up bold Southern flavor with hand-breaded chicken, juicy, crave-worthy burgers and the official biscuit of the South that’s made fresh every morning. From breakfast to late-night, every bite is crafted for comfort, quality, and can’t-miss taste.”
