The team behind The Chastain, helmed by Chef Christopher Grossman, has a new concept in the early stages of development. Neighborhood restaurant Alere will open in 2027 in Morningside Village at 1397 N. Highland Avenue NE, Grossman shared in a message to What Now Atlanta.

Alere’s seasonal menu will draw elements from Southern European cuisine, offering dishes centered around locally sourced ingredients and classical cooking techniques. The design will reflect an elevated but approachable environment for dining. The team is partnering with Summerour Architects and Smith Hanes Design on the design of the space.

The Chastain opened in 2020 in Chastain Park and features locally sourced seasonally-inspired dishes including olive oil poached halibut, rack of lamb, smoked iberico pork chop, pastas and greens.

Alere is still in conceptual development and further details remain unclear at this time. Grossman said that more details regarding the menu and opening timeline will be announced closer to opening.
