Trained in the kitchens of Florence, Italy, veteran Upper East Side restaurateur and chef Adrian Kercuku is opening a new concept in Lenox Hill called La Colina on the corner of First Avenue and 74th Street. Kercuku is probably best known for his long-standing success at da Adriano, a neighborhood staple that has been open since 2003. The chef’s deep roots suggest La Colina will maintain the same commitment to excellence and hospitality. What Now New York has reached out for more information.

During a recent Community Board 8 meeting, the Street Life Committee enthusiastically approved La Colina’s liquor license with a unanimous vote. The new concept will take over the former Gnocchi House Bar, and La Colina will mirror its predecessor’s intimate footprint, accommodating 62 guests across 23 tables and a seven-seat bar. Looking to maintain continuity, Kercuku plans to keep the experienced service staff from the previous establishment.
