A new pub is opening soon in Indialantic’s Seaside Centre shopping mall. Called The Local Beer and Wine Collective, it’s working to get its doors open in the coming weeks.

Offering a menu developed by Chef Steve and Sous Chef Roj, who will be running the kitchen as Steve’s Caribbean Cuisine, the Local will serve up Caribbean and Caribbean-inspired favorites like Jerk Chicken Wings, Caribbean Beef Sliders, and Sweet Plantains.

“We’re going to build the menu out, running specials every week to see what the community wants,” owner Lindsay Richer told What Now on Wednesday.

The Local’s space will feature primarily high-top tables, along with a front patio with seating for twenty to thirty guests. It’s a vibe inspired by brewpubs Richer has encountered in her travels.

“I grew up in a restaurant,” says Richer. “And whenever my husband and I would travel, we would go to local breweries for inspiration. We put together our business plan in 2022, and we were just waiting on the right space with outdoor seating to come around, and we finally found this one.”

With vibes inspired by Asheville, The Local boasts beach access just across the street and dog-friendly patio. It promises to be “Indialantic’s neighborhood gathering place for craft beer lovers, wine enthusiasts, foodies, and community seekers.”

“Located steps from the beach, The Local is built around connection, local flavor, and creating memorable experiences,” says the Local’s website. “We’re bringing together craft beer, curated wines, shareable bites, community events, and an inviting indoor/outdoor vibe designed for locals, beachgoers, cyclists, golfers, families, and friends. Our vision is simple: create a space where people can slow down, meet up, and feel at home. Expect rotating taps, unique wines, fresh food offerings, local collaborations, live events, run clubs, fundraisers, and all the little moments that make small communities special.”
