Austin’s beloved dog grooming and kitchen concept is expanding again. According to public filings, Barkin’ Creek Dog Kitchen & Bath plans to open at 4301 W. William Cannon Drive in the Arbor Trails shopping center, with a targeted completion date of November 2026.
What Now Austin reached out to Barkin’ Creek representatives, but did not receive project details before publication. The location would mark the brand’s fifth Austin outpost, joining existing locations in South Lamar, Zilker Park, the Domain, and Downtown’s Rainey Street district.
Barkin’ Creek combines two distinct offerings under one roof — a full-service dog spa and a fresh food kitchen. The spa side offers grooming, bathing, nail trims, mud baths, de-shedding treatments, conditioning rinses, massages, and blow-outs in what the brand describes as a salon-like, fear-free environment tailored to each dog’s needs, according to its website. The kitchen side prepares fresh, human-grade meals using USDA-quality meats, fruits, and vegetables — all locally sourced and formulated to meet AAFCO nutritional standards. The menu features seven handcrafted recipes, along with treats and snacks for both dogs and cats.
The Arbor Trails location places Barkin’ Creek in one of Southwest Austin’s most established retail destinations, anchored by Costco, Alamo Drafthouse, and a dense mix of neighborhood-serving businesses. The surrounding area is home to a large population of families and pet owners, making it a natural fit for a brand that has built its following on premium, personalized pet care.
