According to public filings, Crunch Fitness is planning a new location at 320 Ed Schmidt Blvd. in Hutto, with construction set to begin in November and wrap by the end of 2027.

What Now Austin reached out to representatives from Crunch Fitness — The Undefeated Tribe, the franchise group behind the project for comment but did not receive a response by press time.

Founded in 1989, Crunch Fitness has built its brand around a “No Judgments” philosophy, aiming to make gyms welcoming for members of all shapes, sizes and fitness levels while blending fitness with entertainment. A typical Crunch location blends traditional gym staples with more specialized offerings, including functional training zones, Olympic lifting platforms, cycling and hot yoga studios, red light therapy and full-service locker rooms with saunas. .

The Hutto filing follows a string of Crunch Fitness expansion across the Austin metro that What Now has been tracking. What Now Austin previously reported on a new South Austin location along the I-35 corridor, and the brand has also opened a Crunch 3.0-design flagship in Northwest Austin under franchisee The Undefeated Tribe, which has said it’s targeting 100 locations across Texas, Oklahoma, Minnesota, New Mexico and Missouri, according to a company announcement at PR Newswire.

Crunch Fitness already has several locations across the Austin metro, and this new Hutto gym would add to that footprint in the fast-growing Williamson County suburb. The chain’s Austin-area locations typically offer a mix of cardio equipment, free weights and machines, along with personal training, group fitness classes, locker rooms with showers, HydroMassage and tanning.
