One of the fastest-growing burger concepts in the country is heading to North Richland Hills. According to public filings, Smalls Sliders plans to open at 6051 Precinct Line Road, with a targeted opening in early 2027.

What Now Dallas spoke to franchisee Charlie Morrison Jr., who said the brand’s simplicity and quality sealed the deal for him. “Everyone at Smalls says one of the things is do one thing and do it really well — do it better than anyone else,” he said. “All you can get there is a cheeseburger slider. It’s all we offer. And I think it’s the best cheeseburger that you could buy on the market.”

Smalls Sliders is an Atlanta-based concept known for its no-frills, focused menu of cheeseburger sliders and milkshakes, served out of distinctive can-shaped buildings. The brand has expanded rapidly across the Sun Belt since launching in 2019, with Texas emerging as one of its most active markets.

Morrison Jr. first encountered the brand at the McKinney location, where the signature shipping container-topped building caught his eye before he even tasted the food. Once he tried the burger, he was sold. “In my opinion, it is the best cheeseburger. It truly doesn’t have a rival,” he told What Now Dallas. With the entire North Fort Worth territory open for development, he moved quickly to secure his stake in the market.

The North Richland Hills location is the first of several planned for the area. Morrison Jr. said he is also looking at locations in Keller, Grapevine, Fort Worth, and surrounding communities. He is especially excited about the timing — with an early 2027 opening, the location could be up and running just in time for Super Bowl season.

“We sell what’s called a party pack, which comes with 25 sliders. Super Bowl will be right around the corner, and it’ll be a great opportunity to really dive in and try the burgers,” Morrison Jr. told What Now Dallas. “We’re just here to serve the community amazing burgers and milkshakes,” Morrison Jr. said. “We want to be that go-to place for your cheeseburger.”
