Five Spice Supermarket and Restaurant is planning to open at 245 Shiloh Rd., in Plano, with construction to wrap by February 2027, according to public filings. What Now Dallas reached out to the ownership group for comment on the concept, but did not receive a response by press time.

The name and combined grocery-and-dining format suggest Five Spice will bring a market alongside a restaurant menu under one roof, a model that has become increasingly common in the Dallas area as grocers look to draw in customers with prepared food options alongside packaged goods and fresh ingredients.

The business is registered as Five Spice Supermarket and Restaurant LLC, with Sayed Imam listed as managing member. State filings show a group of nine additional members tied to the company, based across Plano, Richardson, Murphy, Little Elm, and Sachse, and as far away as the Bronx, New York, pointing to a community-backed ownership structure rather than a single owner.

The concept joins a small cluster of South Asian and Middle Eastern businesses that have taken root along the Shiloh Road corridor in recent years. Just up the street sits Madina Market, a halal meat shop and Middle Eastern cafe known for its shawarma, mandi, and grilled kabobs.
