Pepe’s Cantina is bringing its vibrant Mexican dining concept to Boca Raton.

SBG Hospitality Group recently filed permit applications with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation to open a Pepe’s Cantina at 3011 W. Yamato Road, at the former Lucille’s space. This will be the brand’s first location in Palm Beach County. The company recently announced on its Boca Raton Facebook page that the restaurant is “opening soon” and has begun hiring for the new location, although an official opening date has not yet been announced.

Founded in 2015 by Frank Chavez, Pepe’s Cantina has grown from a single restaurant into a Florida chain known for its colorful atmosphere, handcrafted margaritas and scratch-made Mexican favorites. The menu features tacos, burritos, enchiladas, sizzling fajitas, house-made guacamole and an extensive tequila selection, including the company’s private-label Tequila Amor. The restaurant has built a loyal following by combining traditional Mexican flavors with a lively, family-friendly dining experience.

The Boca Raton restaurant will become Pepe’s Cantina’s eighth full-service location, joining restaurants in Winter Park, Oviedo, Clermont, DeBary, Port St. Lucie and St. Pete.
