A Montgomery County newcomer is preparing to change the face of grocery shopping in Germantown. Triveni Supermarket is bringing a distinctive South Asian shopping experience to the area before the year is out, reports local media outlet MoCo Show.
Triveni will be joining the Milestone Shopping Center in the 20926 Frederick Road space that previously housed Big Lots. An official opening timeline is not yet available for the new market; however it is on deck to be customer-ready before the end of the year.
Triveni’s Germantown location will be the chain’s second storefront in Maryland. The concept already has one market open and operational in Ellicott City, alongside one in South Riding, Virginia.
Montgomery County shoppers can look forward to a memorable and unique shopping experience at Triveni. The website offers this insight as to what’s in store: “We’re more than just food and groceries. We aim to delight and surprise our customers with a product assortment such as household items, pooja samagri and utensils. This includes handmade spoons-thava, kindi, incense sticks, camphor and more.”
Triveni will offer guests “premium groceries, spices, halal meat and an in-house bakery.”
