There’s big news on the horizon for Howard County meat enthusiasts. Fogo de Chão is bringing an upscale Brazilian steakhouse experience to the Mall in Columbia, set to open at some point next year, reports Baltimore Business Journal.

The restaurant is one of two concepts taking over the space at the 10300 Little Patuxent Parkway shopping center left vacant by Walrus Oyster & Ale House and Chicken + Whiskey when they closed in 2025. Fogo de Chão will be taking over the Walrus space specifically.

An official timeline is not yet available for Fogo de Chão’s new Maryland space, however the restaurant anticipates being customer-ready in 2027.

The Howard County location will be Fogo de Chão’s third Baltimore-area location, joining restaurants in Inner Harbor and the Towson Town Center.

The steakhouse brings delicious fine dining to every market it enters. As the website states: “Since 1979, Fogo has kept the flames of the culinary art of Churrasco burning. Taste the vibrant energy from our freshly curated Market Table to signature Brazilian cuts.”
