A new HOTWORX studio is planned for Tuscan Ridge Commons, a 13,664-square-foot retail development at the intersection of N.C. 42 and Tuscan Ridge Way in Clayton, just outside Flowers Plantation. According to the Triangle Business Journal, the nine-space retail center is expected to be delivered later this year.

The Triangle Business Journal reports that franchise owner and real estate investor Chase Riker is developing the project, which has signed HOTWORX, Domino’s, Burrito Shak and Club Pilates as tenants.

Riker confirmed the HOTWORX expansion plans with WhatNow Charlotte. “We’re always looking for expansion opportunities for HOTWORX in the area,” Riker told WhatNow Charlotte. “We’re also opening a HOTWORX in Smithfield at 833 Brightleaf Blvd. in the fourth quarter of this year.”

According to Riker, HOTWORX will bring an innovative approach to fitness by combining infrared heat with isometric and HIIT-style workouts in a small group setting.

The Triangle Business Journal reports that the Johnston County studio will be among the first HOTWORX locations in the county. Riker previously opened a HOTWORX studio in Wilson, and the Smithfield location is also expected to debut in the fourth quarter, further expanding the fitness brand’s presence in eastern North Carolina.

Tuscan Ridge Commons is one of several commercial projects planned near Flowers Plantation, where Johnston County continues to see steady residential and retail growth, according to the publication.
