Charlotte shoppers will soon have a new destination for elevated basics as SKIMS prepares to make its local debut at SouthPark Mall. According to a recent CLTGuide Instagram post, the Kim Kardashian-co-founded apparel brand is among several new retailers expected to open at the shopping center.
SouthPark Mall has also added SKIMS to its online directory as “Coming Soon,” confirming the retailer is headed to 4400 Sharon Road. According to the SouthPark Mall website, the store will offer the brand’s lineup of shapewear, underwear, loungewear, menswear and everyday essentials designed with an emphasis on comfort and inclusivity.
The Charlotte Business Journal previously reported that the SouthPark location will be SKIMS’ first retail store in both North and South Carolina, giving shoppers across the region their first dedicated brick-and-mortar destination for the brand.
According to the SKIMS website, the company was founded in 2019 by Kim Kardashian and Jens Grede and has since expanded from shapewear into underwear, loungewear, swimwear, dresses, sleepwear, menswear and accessories. The brand has also grown its physical retail footprint with stores in major markets across the United States.
Once it opens, this new location will further strengthen the mall’s lineup of nationally recognized fashion retailers while bringing one of today’s fastest-growing apparel brands to the Charlotte market.
