A historic Spring City staple is making a comeback this fall
Spring City Hotel Restaurant will reopen at 88 N. Main St. under new ownership. Ian Diable and his parents have spent nearly a year working alongside former owners Bill and Debbie Hoffman, who leased the restaurant to the Diable family to help ensure a smooth transition.
“We stumbled upon Spring City Hotel. We really liked it. We liked the layout of it. There’s a distinct bar area and a distinct restaurant area. You can have that nice family dinner but also have that late-night live music or just grab a beer and watch some sports over at the bar,” Ian told Whatnow Philadelphia.
Ian’s dad, Tim Diable, who had been actively searching for a restaurant, will lead the Spring City Hotel Restaurant’s food program. A culinary school graduate, Ken will bring a menu featuring a mix of elevated comfort food and pub fare.
The bones of the former restaurant will remain the same. However, the Diable family plans to make upgrades throughout the space, including adding plenty of TVs just in time for football season.
A recent Facebook announcement has generated significant buzz, with community members expressing excitement about the restaurant’s return.
“Before I told anyone who I was or why I was there, people were saying, ‘It’d be really cool if the hotel could open back up.’ Just reading some of the Facebook comments, people saying, ‘Oh, that was our go-to spot.’ I know a lot of people are looking forward to it,” Ian said.
Ian said he’s also eager to join the town.
“The most exciting thing is bringing more business into Spring City. We’re really looking forward to being a part of the community,” he said.
An official opening date has not yet been determined, however, Spring City Hotel Restaurant is in the final inspection process. Follow along on Facebook for the latest updates.
