NetCost Market, a New York-based international supermarket chain, is set to open a nearly 10,900-square-foot store at 9400 Atlantic Blvd, Unit 13, inside Regency Park Shopping Center in Jacksonville’s Arlington area. The city issued a permit on August 13 for electrical work tied to the project, with landlord Brixmor Property Group anticipating a summer 2027 opening.
The store will sit in the former Party City space, between Plato’s Closet and Dollar Tree, according to Brixmor’s site plan for the shopping center. RAM General Contracting & Development Inc, based in Tampa, is listed as the contractor on the permit, with Ragona Architecture & Design PLLC of Charlotte handling design and Absolute Civil Engineering Solutions LLC of Davie serving as civil engineer.
NetCost Market brands itself as a “World of Food,” specializing in international and Eastern European groceries, including fresh produce, meats, seafood, bakery items, prepared foods, and specialty products from around the globe. The chain has built a following among expat communities looking for familiar flavors from home, and its offerings include kosher, dairy-free, gluten-free, gluten free and halal options, along with a caviar and seafood selection spanning sturgeon, beluga, salmon and Russian varieties.
Brixmor spokesperson Maria Pace said NetCost Market is expected to serve as a strong daily needs traffic driver for the shopping center, giving the surrounding community convenient access to everyday essentials alongside harder to find specialty items, according to the Jacksonville Daily Record. Regency Park already houses tenants like Publix, Aldi, Ollie’s Bargain Outlet, Chick-fil-A and Crunch Fitness, sitting along a stretch of Atlantic Boulevard that sees more than 29,000 vehicles a day.
