Pilar Coffee Bar & Iced Treats is continuing its South Florida expansion with a new Miami location planned for 17405 S. Dixie Highway.
MZC South Dade LLC has filed permit applications with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation for the location. An opening date has not been announced.
The South Florida-born concept opened its flagship café at The Cove in Deerfield Beach in December 2024. Pilar currently has two locations open: the original Deerfield Beach café and a location in Roslyn, New York, according to the company’s website. Additional locations are listed as coming soon in Coral Springs, Delray Beach and Palm Beach Gardens, as well as Aurora, Colorado, and two additional Long Island locations.
Founded by franchise industry veteran Steve Giordanella, who also founded Florida-born I Heart Mac & Cheese, Pilar is positioned as an upscale, all-day coffee bar rather than simply a place to grab a cup of coffee.
The menu starts with coffee made from the brand’s signature blend, along with espresso, cappuccino, cortado, cold brew and iced coffee. Specialty drinks include a honey cinnamon latte, biscoff butter cookie latte, Dubai pistachio latte and raspberry matcha bliss. Tea, matcha and chocolate drinks are also offered.
