If you’re in Palm Harbor and looking for a place to enjoy something frozen and sweet without packing in the sugar and calories, your new favorite ice cream shop may be about to open. D’Lites Ice Creamery is launching soon at 35222 US Hwy 19 N, where it will be offering ice cream that is “Guilt-Free” and “Surprisingly Delicious!”

“D’Lites Ice Creamery serves our proprietary soft serve ice cream — low in sodium, sugar, fat, and carbohydrates, cholesterol free, and keto-friendly,” says the brand’s website. “All the taste and texture you love, with none of the guilt.”

Originally expecting a summer opening, D’Lites Ice Creamery posted an update last month about facing construction delays.

“We want to say how much we appreciate all of the support, and encouragement you’ve shown for D’lites!” the post says. “Your comments, kind messages, and continued support remind us why we’re so excited to bring D’lites to our community. We’re experiencing some construction delays, so our opening is taking a little longer than we had hoped!”

What Now reached out on Thursday to co-owner Rachelle Funk to ask about plans for D’Lites Ice Creamery. Funk was not immediately available for comment, but stay tuned for updates on the D’Lites opening as it approaches.
