Whole Foods Market Is Opening a New Store in LA
Whole Foods Market has announced that it will open its new store at 355 S. Ogden Drive in the Bloom on Third shopping center on November 11. The store will be located near the intersection of Third Street and Fairfax Avenue. It will replace the retailer’s original Fairfax location, which has served the community since 2002.
The store will span 63,082 square feet. It will offer more than 1,900 products from over 400 California-based suppliers. It will also feature specialty food departments, prepared meals, fresh produce, and seasonal products for holiday gatherings.
Customers can expect several specialty venues and expanded grocery departments. This includes a taproom where customers can enjoy wine and beer from local selections like Massican, Field Recordings, and others. There will also be a charcuterie and cheese counter, offering assortments from Chuao Chocolatier, Gusto, and Angelo & Franco.
Whole Foods Market will also stock groceries from local suppliers like Habiza Hummus, Date Better Snacks, Uli’s Gelato, and Beach City Coffee. An array of organic and conventional produce from Sourced for Good, Kenter Canyon Farms, and seafood from The Santa Barbara Smokehouse and Tsar Nicoulai will also be available.
The store will also offer an extensive beverage selection, including spirits, wines, and craft beers from Luli Wines, Union Sacre Winery, Topa Topa Brewing Co., and more. It will also feature a bakery department, a coffee and juice bar, a prepared foods department, and a wellness and beauty department.
Opening Day Events and Offers
Opening-day offerings will include complimentary coffee and product samples. The first 300 customers in line will receive a limited-edition store tote bag, while the first 100 will also receive a smaller version. Shoppers will also be eligible for an offer providing up to $100 in savings.
U.S. veterans can receive a complimentary brown butter chocolate chip cookie by visiting the customer service counter on opening day. The retailer will also donate food and money to Food Cycle LA, a nonprofit that helps prevent food waste and distributes surplus food to the community.
