Levelz Lounge is set to open in a vacant 2,988-square-foot building at 159 W Yosemite Ave in downtown Manteca, according to a conditional use permit filed with the Manteca Planning Commission. Owner Rudy Baca, whose company Entertainment Inc holds the liquor license for the space, confirmed to What Now Sacramento that the new business will operate as a bar, though he wasn’t able to share further details.

City filings describe Levelz as a “premium entertainment lounge,” planned for the space sandwiched between Tipton’s and a formerly vacant storefront that once sold Amazon liquidation items. The proposed hours run 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. Thursday through Sunday, with special event operations planned Monday through Wednesday. The nightclub is expected to feature both live music and a DJ, with roughly seven staff members and four to five security personnel on hand. The applicant listed a maximum occupancy of 99 people, though the city noted the exact figure had not yet been finalized.

State liquor records show the license backing Levelz previously operated in Tracy under the same company, before transferring to the Manteca address this August, suggesting Baca and business partner Jose Luis Cuevas Jr are relocating their operation rather than opening an entirely new business from scratch.
