A celebrated chicken concept is getting ready to kick off a new era in Alexandria. Honeymoon Chicken is bringing its elevated approach to the titular dish to Carlyle Crossing, and it should be ready to feed locals before the end of 2026.

The award-winning poultry place will be making its Alexandria debut at 2461 Mandeville Lane. Catalogue, the hospitality group behind Honeymoon, does not yet have an official opening date for the restaurant, however construction hoarding has been erected around the site and a “coming soon” banner has been further stoking area appetites.

Additionally, Catalogue’s media relations go-to Kristen Salis states that Honeymoon anticipates a late fall opening, suggesting the “Fried chicken made fancy” from Chef Rob Sonderman will be feeding Alexandria foodies in the not-too-distant future.

Honeymoon Chicken has already won over fans with its Petworth location, and the website makes it clear why, saying: “At Honeymoon, we’re all about elevated ingredients, techniques and flavors that can transform the humble art of fried chicken into a culinary masterpiece. From inventive sides like roasted cauliflower with hot honey to plussed-up classics like a traditional 8-piece combo — it’s about as upscale as something served in a bucket can get. This is fried chicken, all dressed up with someplace to go.”
