A new Vietnamese restaurant is planning to debut in The Great Oasis development. According to public filings, Pho Soul plans to open a new location at 2235 Old Denton Road, Suite 280, inside The Great Oasis development in Carrollton. Permitting records list a start date of September 2026, and a completion date of December 2026.

What Now Dallas reached out to owner Nghi Tran, who confirmed the location but declined to share additional details at this time.

The new restaurant would add to a growing cluster of Vietnamese restaurants along the Old Denton Road corridor in Carrollton, an area that has become known locally for its concentration of pho shops and Vietnamese eateries, reflecting the corridor’s draw for Vietnamese food concepts in the DFW area.

Carrollton has continued to see steady restaurant growth in recent years, with the Old Denton Road area in particular drawing a mix of independent restaurants serving the city’s Vietnamese and broader Asian communities.

What Now Dallas has tracked several other recent openings across the city, including El Barrio Bakery & Taqueria on South Josey Lane; The Red Chickz’s second Texas location; and Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard, part of a wave of four drive-thru locations the brand is opening across DFW in 2026.
