On Aug. 26, Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard will officially open its doors to the public. The first 50 guests in line will receive a Rita’s gift bag featuring brand-inspired merchandise, with select bags containing golden tickets redeemable for free Italian Ice or Frozen Custard for a week.
Kyle Wiborg, owner of the new Carrollton shop, and Linda Chadwick, CEO of Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard, will be on-site for the Aug. 26 grand opening and available for media interviews.
Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard — Carrollton is located at 4213 N. Josey Lane, Carrollton, TX 75010 which is located directly across from Carrollton Regional Medical Center.
Carrollton is the second of four drive-thru Rita’s locations planned for DFW in 2026, following the brand’s North Richland Hills opening in July. With more than 132,000 residents and a median household income of nearly $94,000, Carrollton represents the kind of established, family-oriented community Rita’s is targeting as it builds out its North Texas footprint.
Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard is the largest Italian Ice concept in the world, with more than 600 locations nationwide. The brand has been serving freshly made Italian Ice, signature Frozen Custard and layered Gelati for more than 40 years.
