A unique sandwich shop is slicing into Manhattan.
The Boring Sandwich, a new concept from Chef Michael Brafman, will open at 97 Stanton St. on the Lower East Side.
“Coming in a New York minute,” an Instagram post read.
Contrary to its name, the menu will feature anything but boring sandwiches.
Breakfast-style sandwiches will be served daily until 5 p.m., with standouts including a classic BEC, the “11-7 Sando,” a Japanese-style egg salad sandwich with Kewpie mayo and challah, and the “Chivito,” piled with steak, ham, bacon, egg, cheese, lettuce, tomato and salsa rosada.
The menu will also feature all-day sandwiches served beyond 5 p.m.
Highlights include “Which Came First?” with a crispy chicken cutlet, shredded cabbage and Japanese egg salad; “Muffuletta,” a New Orleans-style pressed Italian hero with olive and giardiniera salad; and “Lemme Get a…” with shaved turkey or crispy chicken, avocado, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato and pickled onion.
